A Private Concert: The Head and the Heart

Let me invite you into my evening last night.  Through a series of connections, a fairly well-known band (which is increasing in popularity) gave a home show at Anna's house last night: The Head and the Heart.  It was surreal.  It was a private event with a restrictive guest list.  (I was allowed to come because the house could invite 10 people).  The craziest part was that they normally play for thousands of people (you can find them on pandora) and there they were, strumming in the backyard.  I was slightly star-struck.

After the show, the band members just hung around and were playing songs on the piano and guitar in the family room and we got to talk with them...after all, they were just normal people.  (Well, a Californified version of normal - we call them hipsters here).
The Band.
The Band & Meg.

They are incredible!  I have posted a few of their videos.  I guarantee, if you listen a few times, you will fall in love with their unique vocal and instrumental arrangements.  Tell me what you think! :)

Marvelous Mornings

Breakfast with roommate Ellen.  Can you think of a better way to wake-up? :)  I could love mornings.

Here we go again...

Monday night I sort of felt like this...
"Oh my goodness, I forgot how crazy I am when I am taking 3 classes and working 15-20 hrs. a week as a Teaching & Grad Assistant."

And after a full week of little sleep and lots of reading, I feel like this...

But, good news, I don't have class tomorrow. :)  Ah, how sweet it will be to rest a little bit.
(And, don't worry mom & dad, my schedule will calm down a bit.  I'm incredibly blessed to be working on campus and gaining valuable experience...and I'm working toward a more balanced lifestyle).  --That's my challenge to myself and all of the other over-active Reuber family members...let's eat healthy, exercise, and get more sleep.  What do you think?  Can we do it?

Well, let's try. :)  Love you guys.

Chez Moi

Welcome to my room.  It's cozy, charming, and cute.
(OR so I feel).
very meg-esque.
Officially Zen-ified...candles and all.
You should see it in person. ;)
